I've fallen in love. Whether it's removing the 2 inch thick branches hanging over my fence or de-rooting the tree roots invading my garden... This solves so many problems at once, like eliminating needing a shaky ladder to get a two handed grip on a rusty pruning shears or just needing to possess the upper body strength to clip through a thick plant at all. This was slicing through roots several inches thick in the dirt, and tearing through branches 10 feet in the air. Yes, it gets heavier for you as you extend it, but even unfurled to it's maximum length, but EVERYONE in my family wanted a try and could handle it, even a woman with literal upper body handicap. The battery lasted maybe 45 minutes of consistent clipping, which was a great time for a break anyways, and it comes with two batteries that you can alternate if you just need to clip. A little screen displays the remaining battery capacity. Definitely read the instructions about turning it on–it's very easy to use and ready to go right out of the box, but there is a specific technique to pressing the on button/listening for the specific beep in order to turn off the "safety" and get ready to clip. It's 3 quick trigger-pulls, you'll heard 3 quick beeps, and then it's ready to clip. A few minutes of downtime and it goes into safe mode again. Once you've mastered that, the sky is the limit as to what you can clip, or at least ten feet into it!

Let me start by saying this with not cut 1.6 inch branches. If you are trying to cut old seasoned branches the max is about a little over 1/2". If the branches are on the tree/shrub etc and are soft wood then maybe 1". Please watch my video to see in action. For me I got this to reach and prune some small branches as well as cut up some dead brush to put through my chipper. It comes with 2 batteries and I was surprised as I trimmed 2 small trees and the 1st battery was still going. I do really like this pole saw but it didn't come with any extra blades and it doesn't cut 1.6 inch branches as advertised. It's a great tool though because it saves my wrist and hand strength by doing the work for me. As with any Pole saw it does get quite heavy when cutting branches up above. I'm very happy ?? with this tool also because it doesn't cost a high price and it gets the job done if small branches.

The TYDEEY Cordless Electric Pole Pruning Shears are awesome. My favorite feature is the capability of changing the angle. The easy locking telescopic pole and shoulder strap are well made and easy to operate. Also included are 2 batteries with charger. The manual is well illustrated and easy to read. It’s lightweight enough to hold upright while cutting.

  1. These are great for limbing up trees from the ground. Perfect for cutting smaller branches up to an inch and a half. Great quality and plenty of power. Easy to use and is definitely a great time saver.

  2. Have tough time cutting anything more than 1.5 inches but it is sufficient as a pruner. It is quite too heavy when it is on the extension pole.

  4. These are very effective electric pruning shears, and they definitely cut well. We have many fruit trees in our backyard, and the pole comes in handy for trimming the higher branches. This cutter is actually very easy to use, and coming standard with 2 batteries is very convenient. It works perfect for what we needed.

  5. I’ve used these shears to deal with overgrowth of vines on my fence. The included pole was great for getting the tree branches that were encroaching where I didn’t want them. These shears easily handle branches of an inch or so in diameter, and the pole lets me reach the higher up branches. Blades are sharp, and the motor is powerful enough to quickly and cleanly cut through just about anything. For the thicker branches, I still need to use a pole saw, but for everything else, these work well.

  6. We have quite a few bushes and small trees that need seemingly continuous routine maintenance to keep the landscaping looking tidy. Previously I’ve been using telescopic clippers and a step ladder to accomplish the task which is as tedious as it sounds. Enter this pole shear. The shears themselves can be used as powered handheld shears for small tasks which easily cuts through small and mid-sized branches without needing to use hand powered pruning shears. This makes cutting through stubborn branches considerably easier and less fatiguing. The real value however is the ability to mount the shears to the end of an extending telescopic pole, thus mostly eliminating the need for a step ladder. This has allowed me to quickly and easily prune wild and untamed stray branches and get them nicely formed. Operation is very simple. Snap on the battery and squeeze the trigger. It’s that simple. A digital battery meter displays the current charge at a glance. Recharging is also simple with the included A/C adapter. Plug it in and let it go. This has vastly simplified my landscaping chores. It is also nice not having to worry about changing oil or mixing fuel mixtures.

  7. Easy assembly and cuts better than I thought it would. Removes the tree and bush limbs that I feel it should be able to. Two batteries are generous and appreciated. Extension is easy and the weight is well distributed.

  8. I have a couple of other similar pruning shears, so the operation of this tool was already familiar. The safety feature for locking and unlocking the blades can be a little tricky initially, but once you get used to using the product the locking and unlocking of the blades make sense. To unlock, press the trigger twice, to operate and cut, just press and let go of the trigger, to lock the blades press the trigger to close the blades and hold until you hear the audible sound that lets you know that the blades are locked. The blades are sharp so I always ensure to lock the blades. The TYDEEY Cordless Electric Pole Pruning Shears comes with a decent case to keep everything together, comes with two batteries that have ample power for most home yards. I have used the tool several times in the weekends and have never run out of charge on the first battery. Total usage for me varies from about 30 minutes to two hours of yard work, but I am glad to have the second battery just in case, especially since brush pickup is happening again soon. What is great about these pruning shears is the extension pole. I have used it a few times and it greatly helps reaching high limbs. The blades are also sharp and of good quality. While pruning branches along a chain link fence, I accidentally cut a part of the fence that was too close to the branch I was cutting, it cut both, the small branch and the fence! Surely, I thought I damaged the blades, but aside from a barely visible indentation on the blade, the shears still cut great. These shears do cost more because of the included extension pole, but this tool is so much better than using manual tool options, I have an expandable pole with a saw, and another with shears that are operated by pulling on a cord, and I almost never use them as I founds them too difficult to operate. The TYDEEY Cordless Electric Pole Pruning Shears on the other hand, it’s as simple as placing the shears where I want to cut, and the tree limb is instantly cut. Overall, I am very pleased with this tool, and I feel it is a great purchase for using in the yard or garden.

  9. I am pleased with the performance of this Cordless Electric Long Handle Tree Trimmer and the 2 batteries that it came with, however, I wish that the batteries were more powerful and more similar to my other rechargeable tool’s batteries. The batteries included with this cordless tree trimmer need to be recharged often. Because of that this tree trimming tool is probably not suitable for professional tree trimming work, but, it is perfectly suitable for lighter use at home. I wish that the batteries that came with this tree trimmer had a separate charger like my other rechargeable tools do. That is probably because I am more familiar with rechargeable batteries that have separate charging stations. The difference in the way that the batteries are charged doesn’t affect the performance of this tree trimmer. I find this cordless tree trimmer a bit tricky to operate. For me that trickiness begins at the very beginning when I am trying to attach the battery and the trimmer head to the tree trimmer’s pole. The receptacles on each end of the pole look very similar. The last time that I used this tree trimmer I spent 10 minutes trying to attach the battery to the wrong end of the pole! For me another tricky part of using this tree trimmer is learning how to operate the control trigger. To operate this tree trimmer you have to first double click the control trigger to open the blades. To make the cut you click the control trigger once more to close the blades. In addition to squeezing the control trigger at the right time and the right number of times, the safety button on the side of the handle must also be pressed in during all of these operations. Once you get the hang of the controls trimming small tree branches with this tree trimmer is a lot of fun! As a side note I want to mention how much I love the robotic startup noise that this tree trimmer makes when I first switch it on. I just noticed that the lower blade on my tree trimmer has a tiny triangular notch missing from it. I have not cut that many tree branches and thick weed stems. I wonder if the cutting blades will need replacing before very long? I rate this Cordless Electric Long Handle Tree Trimmer With 2 Batteries four stars.

  10. This is a bit top heavy when extended, but I love the reach and how easy it is to prune trees
